Stephen Cheatham is Executive Vice President and Partner at m Strategic Partners, Inc., a Houston-based program management firm focused on healthcare design and construction. He joined mSP in 2016 as a Project Manager on a large healthcare project and has grown with the firm into a key leadership role—guiding major capital programs, supporting day-to-day operations, and building strong, long-term client relationships.

Stephen is deeply involved in projects from start to finish, helping teams stay aligned, schedules moving, and quality front and center. What he enjoys most is the teamwork behind each build. “No project comes together because of one person,” he says. “It’s the collaboration—watching a site evolve from the ground up and knowing a lot of people worked together to make it happen—that makes the work rewarding.”

Before joining mSP, Stephen worked as a Project Manager for a major general contractor in the Houston market, specializing in healthcare construction. His experience across both the contractor and owner’s-rep sides gives him a practical, well-rounded perspective that clients value.

Stephen also brings a strong sense of discipline and service from his six years in the United States Air Force, where he served as a Munitions Systems Journeyman at Ellington Field. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children, and can often be found on the golf course when time allows.
