Stephen Cheatham is the Executive Vice President and a Partner at m Strategic Partners, Inc., a Houston-based program management firm specializing in healthcare design and construction. Since joining mSP in 2016 as the lead Project Manager on a major healthcare project, Stephen has advanced within the firm to his current roles. As Partner and Executive Vice President, he oversees several major capital programs as Project Executive, manages the firm’s daily operations with a focus on project resource planning and management, and cultivates both existing and new client relationships.

Stephen is responsible for quality control throughout projects, driving schedules, and coordinating with project owners and general contractors. He enjoys the collaborative process of seeing projects come to life, stating, “The most interesting part of my job is the overall process and collaborative effort it takes to build a successful project. No one person can do it alone, and seeing a site transform from a greenfield to a functional building or hospital is very rewarding.”

Before his tenure at mSP, Stephen was a Project Manager for a major general contractor in the Houston market, focusing on healthcare construction. He is renowned as a content expert in healthcare design and higher education design and construction, leveraging his expertise to benefit mSP and its clients.

Prior to his career in the A/E/C industry, Stephen served six years in the United States Air Force as a Munitions Systems Journeyman, stationed locally at Ellington Field. He resides in Houston with his wife, Lori, and daughter, Olivia, and enjoys spending his free time with his family and playing golf.
